A Truly Hot Potato
A part of the Butcher’s by Roli Roti brand is of course, Roli Roti!
You can read more about Roli Roti in our previous blog post, but Roli Roti was our first foray into food by being America’s first gourmet rotisserie food truck. While we began with just rotisserie chickens, potatoes quickly joined our menu as a vessel to capture all of the delicious drippings from the chickens roasting above them.
The potatoes quickly became one of our best sellers on our trucks, with people consistently ordering them to go along with our other roasted meat options.
Throughout our almost two decades in operation, our customers have always asked us if there was a way for them to make the potatoes at home or to get them in stores–the answer was always “no”, until now!
Introducing our Roli Roti Farmers Market Heirloom Potatoes!
We decided not to name these as an official Butcher’s product as these products have roots deep within our food truck days and aren’t specifically a protein/meat product, but rest assured you’ll still get the same quality you’d expect from our other Butcher’s products.
While it may sound simple to replicate roasted potatoes for retail, it actually took us quite a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get the same texture and flavor as you do on the truck. We think we’ve got it cracked though, and are super excited for you to try it!
We’ve sous vide heirloom potatoes in organic chicken drippings and our very own Butcher’s Chicken Bone Broth to infuse them with flavor and richness. Already fully cooked, all you need to do is pop the taters in the oven for a quick broil and then serve! We’ve even included some of our housemade rosemary sea salt–also one of our food truck fan favorites!
Right now, our potatoes are only available at select NorCal Costcos, but we’re hoping we’ll get them in more stores soon!
